Subsect is a single-operator internal tool used to research content and product trends for a small portfolio of consumer brands. It runs only on the operator's local machine and is not offered as a public product or service.
Information we collect
- Pinterest OAuth credentials. When a brand owner authorizes a Pinterest business account, Subsect receives an OAuth access token, a refresh token, and the connected account's username. These are stored only in a local database on the operator's machine.
- Aggregate Pinterest data. Subsect reads trending keywords and the connected account's own boards and pins through the Pinterest API, solely to produce internal trend research for that brand.
How we use information
Collected information is used only to generate internal trend-research briefs for the connected brands. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the operator's own brand research.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or share any information with third parties. Subsect includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking integrations. No third-party user data is accessed.
Data retention and deletion
Tokens and connected-account data are retained until the operator disconnects the account or deletes the brand record, at which point they are removed from the local database. A connected account can revoke Subsect's access at any time from its Pinterest account settings under "Apps."
Data security
Data is stored locally and is not exposed on the public internet. Access is limited to the single operator of the machine on which Subsect runs.
Changes to this policy
